In the time of need

We offer help every moment

Building the present for a new future

Woman of the New Millennium Foundation (FUNDAMIL), in more than 20 years of service to our community, has allowed women and their families to live with dignity in a comprehensive manner. Today, as a result of our helping hand, many women can smile at life again.

¿Who are we?

We are a social organization, founded on June 10th, 1997 by a group of women in the Patio Bonito Sector of the Kennedy Neighborhood in Bogota, Colombia. We officially registered with the local Chamber of Commerce on February 5th, 2000 with the goal of minimizing the social divide and supporting the human rights of the most vulnerable populations in our community.

FUNDAMIL was formed in response to a need for a better network between women that would allow them to address their economic needs and confront the social and domestic problems they faced at that time. These women’s efforts initially centered around the elementary education of their children and meeting the subsistence and nutritional needs for themselves and their families.

Through the implementation of its programs, FUNDAMIL improves the personal, familiar and social lives not only of women, but also boys, girls, teens, LGBTQ men and women, those from minority ethnicities and other minority groups.

During our more than 20 years of service, we have helped women and their families live with dignity in a comprehensive manner.

Today, many women working hand-in-hand with our foundation have happier lives, and generation after generation are finally fully exercising their rights as a first step towards the construction of a just, equal and peaceful society
